Cesar Chavez was born in Yuma, Arizona, in an immigrant family with two brothers and two sisters. As a little kid Cesar Chavez would work on his family's farm and do things like feed and give water to the animals and collect eggs. When César was ten years old, his family’s home was taken away from them because they did not have money.
César’s family moved to California to find work. They began working on farms and did stuff like picking fruits and vegetables. César’s family would look for work on different kinds of farms, just like many other families who work on fields.
César’s family moved a lot. Moving did not bother César, or his sisters and brothers too much because their parents loved them and because they were always happy to be together as a family.César’s family worked hard on the farms, but they got small money.
Then Cesar Chavez grew up to be a good man._.
